When the lift goes wrong

Just the other day in rehearsal, one of our principal dancers went for a lift and the partner misjudged the cue… Instead of a graceful ascent, we got an accidental cartwheel! It was hilarious, and we all burst out laughing. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. Anyone else have funny rehearsal fails to share?

Those surprise moments really keep us grounded! Reminds me of a time when I missed my cue and ended up doing the worm instead of a pirouette. :joy: Have you ever had to improvise like that?

It’s always the unexpected moments that bring some of the best laughs, right? Last week, I ended up spinning like a top when a lift went sideways. Have you ever turned a miscue into a signature move, @larissa_modern?

Sounds like a classic! I once turned a stumble into an impromptu moonwalk during practice, and it got some laughs. Ever turned a total flub into a memorable moment, @harmon_lucas76?

I’ve had my share of oops moments too! Once during a lift, my partner tripped, and I ended up doing an accidental front roll. What’s your go-to way to recover when things go sideways? :joy:.
