I got my first gig by DMing the choreographer after seeing the “audition” post and sending a 20-second clip dancing to their track; I also offered to be a rehearsal swing, which got me in the room. Caveat: for bigger or union jobs, I still show up to open calls. Anyone else landed work by leading with a short clip?
