During Friday’s 8:30 tech run, our fog machine decided it was a snowstorm, and the salsa duo ad libbed a shiver shimmy that brought the house down. What’s your best onstage save or backstage fix that turned chaos into comedy, and should we plan a 90-second emergency choreo bit at the community showcase?
During an 8:30 tech, our hazer flooded too and I saved it by calling a ‘reset ripple’ — everyone hits a two-count point-and-grin toward the wings while @crew clears the mess and we vamp the track. For the showcase, I’d prep that as a 75–90 second emergency bit with a quick audio ‘Plan B!’ sting so the cast loops the ripple and keeps feet planted if the fog goes snowstorm again.
